Vanessa I. was born and raised in the Birmingham area and returned after finishing her education at Oxford, where she earned a Master's in education and spent her time assisting a wide variety of students in the area with studying for various standardized tests. She has continued to assist students in the Birmingham area with Manhattan Review for exams such as the GRE.

Vanessa has assisted students in a wide variety of contexts, including group courses and private tutoring, for an increasing repertoire of standardized tests. Her test assistance methods are designed to be flexible depending on what the student feels is most appropriate to help them learn the material.
